THE JADE NETWORK
THE JADE NETWORK is a sequence of community interactive programs. These have been designed to enable local artists teach art to adults and children at no cost in exchange for services to our local community such as; delivering meals for people in distress, walking an elderly persons groceries home, donating bus passes to young art students. Such and other services to the local community are able to happen because the artist is teaching class with materials included to children and adults for free.
The JADE NETWORK has now one year of field research and application. 200 children were given free art classes throughout the year of 2010, and this is including group homes, low income families, the elderly, and single mothers. Ten seminars were given by Guillermo Perez such as "THE UNIVERSE AT COLOR," which is a 10 year recap on his experience in the field. In one hour the seminar covers all aspects of the physiology in color and how it applies. SEMINARS like this and other topics were given at no cost to over 100 people in the city of Miami Beach. Locals and people from different countries were able to receive a free art education out of the facilities operated. BLAKE EMORY taught 6 seminars on wellness and self-defense. The seminars covered all aspects of exercise and defense tactics.
JADE NETWORK in 2010 helped provide 14 locals with temporary housing and food assistance. Over 50 live performances were made for activities that were community-oriented at no cost and art was donated to help suffice the operational needs. ARTIST REVOLUTION STUDIOS has hosted several events for children such as: the trick or treat parade down Lincoln Road and Española Way on Halloween day of 2010, with the children who paraded behind "BERGS" THE GIANT RED DRAGON built and donated by BLAKE EMORY. The JADE NETWORK has worked hand in hand with local non-profits and donated art to the Haitian Cultural Society and The NOBE Art Connection.
